The talk introduces the research we do in CHAI Lab (Human-centered AI Lab) in the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. I will introduce three ongoing projects, while the main focus will be on the first one: 1. "A Collaborative Human-AI Approach to Mitigate Large-Scale Phishing Attacks", where we aim to develop AI-based tools to mitigate phishing attacks, 2. "Uncovering implicit inferences for improved relational argument mining", where we aim to analyse unstructured text to discover meaningful arguments and connections between them, 3. "Enabling Answerability in Sociotechnical Systems", where we develop a mediator agent tool to facilitate dialogues between organizations and users.
